Cricket is a gentleman skill. কিন্তু এ কথাটি কতটা সত্য বাংলার সুপারস্টার সাকিব আল হাসানের ক্ষেত্রে??প্রশ্ন জাগছে জনমনে।
আবারো নিষিদ্ধ হলেন বাংলার মানুষের প্রাণ সাকিব আল হাসান।কীর্তিমান এ খেলোয়াড় যতটা তার কৃতিত্বের জন্য বিশ্ব জুড়ে যতটা প্রসংশিত ততোটাই সমালোচিত বিভিন্ন বিতর্কিত কর্মকাণ্ডে।বাংলার এই বাঘ যতটা হিংস্র বেট আর বল হাতে ততোটাই হিংস্র ব্যাক্তিগত মেজাজে। ব্যাট বল হাতে খেলা কে নিয়ন্ত্রণ করতে পারলেও নিয়ন্ত্রণ করতে পারে না নিজের মেজাজ কে।

শেষমেষ ৩১ রানে চিরপ্রতিদ্বন্দ্বী আবাহনীকে হারিয়ে জয়ের ধারায় পৌঁছায় মোহামেডান স্পোর্টিং ক্লাব।কিন্তু বিতর্কিত সাকিব এর গায়ের কালিমা তো সহজে কাটার নয়।
সাকিবের এ আচরণে স্তম্ভিত দেশীয় ক্রীড়াঙ্গন।শুধু দেশীয় মিডিয়াতেই নয় শুরবারের এ ঘটনাটি সমালোচিত হয়েছে আন্তর্জাতিক মিডিয়াতেও।
বিশ্ব অলরাউন্ডার এর এই নেতিবাচক আচরণ এ তার বিরুদ্ধে পদক্ষেপ নিয়েছে বিসিবি ও সিসিডিএম।ঢাকা ক্লাব ক্রিকেট এর নিয়ন্ত্রণ সংস্থা ক্রিকেট কমিটি অব ঢাকা মেট্রোপলিটন সিসিডিএম এর চেয়ারম্যান কাজী এনাম গত কাল বিশ্ব অলরাউন্ডার এর তিন ম্যাচ নিষিদ্ধ এবং ৫ লক্ষ টাকা অর্থদণ্ডের বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন। অর্থাৎ আগামী ৩ ম্যাচ খেলতে পারবেন না দেশীয় - আন্তর্জাতিক কোনো ম্যাচ।
বিশ্ব অলরাউন্ডার এর এ দুঃসময়ে কেউ পাশে না থাকলেও বরাবরের মতো পাশে আছেন সহধর্মিণী শিশির। স্ত্রী শিশির সাকিব এর এই সমালোচনার তৎক্ষণাৎ প্রতিবাদ জানিয়েছেন।
